Ghana winger Christian Atsu says he hopes to remain with English Premier League side Newcastle United for the foreseeable future.
The Black Stars attacker has had some interest from a host of European clubs, but he insists that staying with the Magpies is very much his ambition.
"I'm very happy at Newcastle and I'm happy with the fans. I'm especially happy with Benitez, the staff and everybody at the club," Atsu said during an extensive interview with Football Made in Ghana.
"I'd like to stay there as many years as possible but it will depend on me and my performances. I just need to do my work, do my job, and as many as years as I want I believe I can stay if I play really good."
Atsu will be gearing up for Ghana’s opening match at the ongoing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars will face Benin on Tuesday night in Ismailia in their first Group F clash, before they tackle Cameroon and Guinea-Bissau on June 29 and July 2 respectively.
