According to media reports in Turkey and Egypt, Premier League club Watford have made a bid of around £10million for Pharaohs forward Mahmoud Ahmed Ibrahim Hassan.

Better known as ‘Trezeguet’ (supposedly because a coach noted similarities to former French international David Trezeguet), the player is currently starring for Egypt at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 24-year-old is on the books of Turkish side Kasimpasa, but their club president Turgay Ciner has reportedly said he will help the player get a move to Watford after Trezeguet expressed a desire to play in England.

He impressed in Turkey last season, scoring nine goals and providing nine assists in the Super Lig.

He has netted six times from 38 games for the national side, including the winner in their AFCON tournament opener against Zimbabwe last month.

Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are also reported to be interested in the player, who is set to feature for the Pharaohs in their Nations Cup last 16 clash in Cairo on Saturday night.
