Madagascar coach Nicolas Dupuis says he hopes Barea continue their fairytale run at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nation (AFCON) finals.
Barea finished their group stage campaign undefeated in their debut appearance in the continental tournament.
The Southern African side secured their place in the quarter-finals after upsetting DR Congo's Leopards in the Round of 16 match on Sunday.
Madagascar emerged 4-2 winners over the Leopards on penalties following a 2-2 draw at the Alexandria stadium.
"It is a great day for us. We kept believing and we got a just reward at the end of the game," Dupuis said.
"It was a very tough match today against an experienced Congo side.
Barea will not take on Algeria in the quarter-finals and the match is scheduled to be played at the Al Salam Stadium on Thursday.
"We gave our best and seeing us continue making history is a beautiful thing," he added.
"Hope we can continue in this way."
