Pre-tournament favourites Senegal will take on Tunisia for a place in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final at 30 June Stadium in Cairo on Sunday evening.

Kick-off is at 18h00 CAT.

Senegal booked their place in the final four with a narrow 1-0 win over Benin at the very same stadium earlier this week. Everton's Idrissa Gana Gueye scored the only goal of the game, as the Teranga Lions continue their pursuit of a first Afcon crown.

The Teranga Lions, who are spearheaded by Liverpool's Sadio Mane, finished behind Algeria in their group, but narrow wins over Uganda and Benin has put them on the cusp of a second final appearance and first since losing to Cameroon in the 2002 showpiece.

Tunisia booked their place in the semifinals after finally finding their groove in a 3-0 thumping of tournament surprise package Madagascar in the Egyptian capital.

The Carthage Eagles played to three successive group stage draws before edging Ghana on penalties in the Round of 16.

The North African's, though, finally showcased what they are capable of with goals from Ferjani Sassi, Youssef Msakni and Naim Sliti leading them to a thumping win over Barea.

Tunisia's only Afcon victory came on home soil 15 years ago, with a 1-0 quarter-final win over Senegal paving the way for victories over Nigeria and ultimately Morocco in the tournament final.

The winner will face either Algeria or Nigeria in the 2019 Afcon final, which will take place at Cairo International Stadium on the 19th of July.
