Egyptian football powerhouse Al Ahly have provided an injury update ahead of their clash with Arab Contractors.

The Egyptian Premier League match is scheduled to be played at the Borg Al Arab Stadium on Wednesday.

Midfielder Karim ‘Nedved’ Walid has returned from Germany where he had a knee cartilage surgery.

The 21-year-old player sustained the knee injury in April 2019.

“The player is continuing his rehabilitation programme to fully recover from the recent knee cartilage surgery in Germany,” Ahly’s technical staff said on Ahram Online.

“Nedved has returned from Germany after checking on his knee, as undergoing medical examinations to make sure that his condition is improving,” the staff added.

Nedved has been influential for Al Ahly this season having played in 33 matches, scoring five goals.

Al Ahly are sitting at the top of the EPL table with 74 points from 32 matches and they are the favorites to win the title.
