Algeria international Yacine Brahimi has officially joined Qatari club side Al Rayyan on a three-year deal.

The 29-year-old, who was part of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations winning squad, moves to Doha after five years on the books of Portuguese giants Porto.

Brahimi scored 39 goals and assisted a further 29 in 148 games for the club, winning the 2017/18 league title.

Al Rayyan finished last season in fourth place, 20 points behind eventual champions Al Sadd who were spearheaded by Brahimi’s Algerian teammate, Baghdad Bounedjah, who scored an incredible 39 goals.

Fellow Dessert Fox, Mehdi Abeid, has also completed a move shortly after Algeria’s continental triumph; singing for French club Nantes after leaving Dijon.
