Aston Villa’s latest signing Mahmoud Hassan ‘Trezeguet’ is looking forward to helping the club achieve success in the 2019/20 season.
Villa, who were promoted back to the English Premier League following victory in the playoff final, marked their return to England’s top-flight with the signing of the Egypt international.
The club paid a reported £8.75m for the 24-year-old’s signature following two fine seasons with Kasimpasa in Turkey were he directly contributed to 43 goals in 71 matches.
“Happy to be here, I hope that I can help the team to be successful,” Trezeguet told the club’s official website. “This is one of my dreams, to play in the English Premier League and to play for a big club like Aston Villa.
He will link up with Pharaohs captain Ahmed Elmohamady at Villa Park, something he is looking forward to.
“He is a good friend of mine, he is my brother,” Trezeguet continued.
“He’s my captain and always speaks with me about Aston Villa, saying it’s an amazing club and that I’d be happy here.
“I am happy to be with him, he is a good guy and we will help each other.”
