Sarr linked with Watford switch

Senegal international Ismaïla Sarr is reportedly close to joining English Premier League club Watford.

According to Sky Sports News, the £27 million-rated winger is currently in talks with the Hornets, with the London club likely to break their transfer record in landing the Stade Rennais forward.

Sarr enjoyed a breakthrough 2018/19 season, scoring 13 goals and assisting a further 11 in 50 appearances across all competitions as the club won the French Cup.

The 21-year-old was part of the Teranga Lions squad that reached the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final this month; eventually losing 1-0 to Algeria in the final.

Sarr joined Rennais from FC Metz two years ago. He has scored three goals in 21 games for Senegal.
