Goals from Olivier Bayisabe and Joslin Nshimirimana handed Burundi a 2-0 win over South Sudan in the first leg of an African Nations Championship qualifier on Saturday, July 27 at the Stade Intwari.


The second leg will take place next week on Saturday, August 2 in South Sudan



In the three other first leg African Nations Championship qualifiers on Saturday, Uganda beat Somalia 3-1 away from home, Mali thumped Guinea-Bissau 4-0 away from home and Cape Verde played to a goalless draw against Mauritania at home.
