Former Egypt assistant coach Michel Salgado feels that he did not have the chance to prove himself.
The Spanish football legend served as former Egypt head coach Javier Aguirre’s third assistant during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Pharaohs were eliminated in the Round of 16 and the entire technical team which included Tito Garcia Sanjuan and Hany Ramzy was dismissed.
The former Real Madrid defender has taken to his Instagram account to discuss his time with the Pharaohs.
“It’s been a hard time but Egypt has been a priceless experience where I’ve learnt a lot and I think I didn’t have the chance to give my best,” Salgado said.
“But after resting and thinking it over, it is time to bounce back so on my way to Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica and San Pedro Sula in Honduras.
“Tomorrow we’ll start our tour in Guatemala and I think I’m bringing a great team of Legends, then get ready in Costa Rica on 2nd and Honduras on 3rd of August for another amazing team of Legends.”
Salgado, 43, was appointed Egypt assistant coach in September 2018.
