Nigerian defender Valentine Ozornwafor says he is enjoying his learning curve at Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray.
The Nigerian U-20 international recently joined the Turkish champions from Enyimba and is in the process of settling into his new environment. This past weekend he enjoyed some game time in a 3-1 win over French team Girondins de Bordeaux.
“You know I’m a very young player. Every day I learn one more thing. Surely to play in this match, this match gave me experience to wear. The most important thing for me is to learn from each passing day,” Ozornwafor told the club’s website.
“After all, a professional player needs to adapt to the team as soon as possible. There’s not much time left, you know the league starts in a few weeks.
“I need to get used to everything that the manager wants, as well as my teammates. Ryan Babel showed me a video. He gave me some advice. Every day I learn something new.
“I don’t necessarily have to be an experienced player. Especially my coaches and teammates, every day I learn something from them. I’m open to learning. I will improve myself in this way.”
Ozornwafor will hope to feature in the team again next midweek when Gala take on Akhisar in the Turkish Super Cup final.
