The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) have appointed Osian Roberts as the new technical director.

The former Wales assistant coach has inked a five-year deal which kicks off in September 2019.

Welshman Roberts has replaced Moroccan tactician Nasser Larguet, who served technical director between 2014 and early 2019.

“He has gained experience in the field of technical management and training, being the technical director for Wales from 2007 to 2019, as well as an expert and director of training for the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA)” said FRMF in an official statement.

According to the CAF website, in a related development, Houcine Ammouta, who guided Wydad Athletic Club to CAF Champions League glory in 2017 has been named head coach of home-based Morocco national team, who will be participating in the 2020 CHAN qualifiers.

Jamal Sellami, who won the CHAN 2018 on home soil has been confirmed as U-20 coach and Frenchman Patrice Beaumelle in charge of the U-23 Squad.
