The expected transfer of Henry Onyekuru to Monaco is expected to be completed by Thursday’s transfer deadline but visa problems have held up an earlier conclusion of the move from Everton.
The 22-year-old Nigerian international is set to make a 13-million Euro move from Goodison Park, where his own work permit problems have precluded the striker from playing in the Premier League.
Onyekuru was on loan at Galatasaray last season but his proposed move to Monaco is permanent with a five-year contract.
He helped Galatasaray win the Turkish League last season but a return to Istanbul is complicated by Gala’s finances.
Onyekuru signed for Everton from Belgian club KAS Eupen for 8-million Pounds in 2017 but without the necessary paperwork to play, he went on loan and has scored 23 goals in two years with Anderlecht and Galatasaray.
He was also in the Super Eagles squad at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt but made just a fleeting appearance.
