Egypt and Al Ahly striker Amr Gamal move to Tunisian giants CS Sfaxien has hit a stumbling block.
According to Al Ahly’s transfer market adviser Adly El-Keiy, the transfer is in jeopardy due to the player not settling his situation from the military service.
Gamal joined Sfaxien on loan until the end of the 2019/20 season and there is an option of making the deal permanent at the end of the season.
El-Keiy revealed that Gamal has been called to fulfil his military service.
“The player understood he has to return and I think he will be recruited right now. The Tunisian side has to grasp there is nothing we [Al Ahly] can do,” El-Keiy said.
“If Gamal wanted to continue playing he has to join Tala‘a El-Gaish.”
The marksman failed to make a single appearance for Egyptian champions Al Ahly last season
Gamal had a loan spell with Finnish giants HJK Helsinki, where he won the league title.
