Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids FC has loaned out Cristian Benavente to French Ligue 1 side Nantes.
The 25-year-old winger, who is a Peru international, has joined Nantes on loan with an option to buy.
Pyramids signed Benavente from Belgian Pro League side RSC Charleroi in January 2019.
The attacker made 12 matches for Pyramids last season and he found the back of the net three times.
Nantes released the following statement:
A club statement read: “FC Nantes and Pyramids FC have reached an agreement for the loan, with option to buy, of the Spanish-Peruvian midfielder Cristian Benavente (25).”
“Born May 19, 1994 in Alcala de Henares (Spain), Cristian Benavente started football at Rayo Vallecano before joining Real Madrid at 8 years old.”
“He will perform all his training in the ranks of the club Madrid. During his last season with the Merengue, he will evolve under the orders of Zinédine Zidane, then at the head of the Castilla.”
“He will finally make his debut debut at the professionals in Charleroi (Belgium), before attempting the adventure at Pyramids FC in Egypt.”
“Peruvian international since the U17, he has 18 caps (2 goals) under the shirt of the Blanquirroja. At FC Nantes, Cristian Benavente will be number 10.”
