Kaizer Chiefs have agreed to release Madagascar international Andriamirado Andrianarimanana, more simply known as Dax, to fellow Premier Soccer League side Black Leopards.

The midfielder had been frozen out at Naturena as the sixth foreigner on the club’s books, with PSL teams allowed to only register five at any one time.

Leopards had announced his capture earlier this month, which drew a furious response from Chiefs, who said no deal had been done.

But they have since relented to get the player off their books and the 28-year-old will further his career in Limpopo.

Chiefs’ five registered foreign players are goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi (Nigeria), midfielder James Kotei (Ghana), and forwards Samir Nurković (Serbia), Leonardo Castro (Colombia) and Lazarous Kambole (Zambia).

They also have the Zimbabwean pair of Willard Katsande and Khama Billiat on their books, but both have received dual South African citizenship.

Dax arrived at Chiefs from Fosa Juniors in his homeland at the start of the 2018/19, but made just 14 appearances in all competitions.
