Mohamed Salah bagged a nine-minute brace to lead Liverpool to a 3-1 win over Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday.

The Egypt international continued his scoring spree against the Gunners as the Reds made it three wins from three English Premier League games this season. Cameroon international Joel Matip opened the scoring on Merseyside before Salah’s double.

Elsewhere, Moussa Djenepo opened his Southampton account with a stunning goal to lead the Saints to a 2-0 win over 10-man Brighton & Hove Albion, while Jordan Ayew scored Crystal Palace’s opener in a 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Ghana international raced onto a flick-on before calmly slotting the ball past the onrushing David de Gea as the Eagles claimed a first Premier League win over United at the 21st attempt.

English Premier League action resumes on Sunday as Bournemouth play host to Manchester City where Riyad Mahrez will be hoping to add to the three assists he has already accumulated this season.
