Several African players caught the eye in the 2019/20 UEFA Europa League play-off round second-leg matches on Thursday night.
Senegalese striker Magaye Gueye grabbed an assist as his Azerbaijan club Qarabag defeated Northern Irish side Linfield 2-1 at home.
The tie ended in a 4-4 draw on aggregate and Qarabag won on the away goals rule, and they progressed to the group stage.
Ivorian striker Franck Boli was on the scoresheet as Hungarian giants Ferencvaros defeated Lithuanian champions Suduva 4-2 at home.
The result saw Ferencvaros ease into the group stage after securing a 4-2 win on aggregate.
Burkina Faso defender Edmond Tapsoba was the hero for Guimaraes as his solitary goal helped the Portuguese side defeat Romanian giants FCSB 1-0 at home.
As a result, Guimaraes advanced to the group stage after winning the tie 1-0 on aggregate.
The draw for the group stage draw will be conducted on Friday.
