Zambia’s caretaker coach Aggrey Chiyangi has named nine foreign based players for next week’s friendly match against South Africa in Lusaka.
But all the foreign based players come from Africa with none of Zambia’s European-based players called up for the September 7 clash at the National Heroes Stadium.
Coach Chiyangi wants to use the match mainly as a training game for locally-based players as Zambia will try later this month to qualify for the African Nations Championship.
Skipper Kabaso Chongo of TP Mazembe leads the foreign legion that includes six players based in South Africa.
