AmaTuks go third despite draw, Royal Eagles held

The final matches of the 2019/20 National First Division (NFD) match-day three were played on Sunday afternoon.


Richards Bay and Cape Umoya United played to a 1-1 stalemate in an encounter which was played at the Richards Bay Sports Stadium.


As a result, Bay remained fourth on the league log, while Umoya moved up to the sixth place.


At the Tuks Stadium, University of Pretoria were held to a 2-2 draw by a stubborn Jomo Cosmos side.


The draw saw AmaTuks climb up to third place on the standings, while Cosmos slipped down to 10th place on the table.


While JDR Stars held Royal Eagles to a 2-2 stalemate in a match which was played at the Chatsworth Stadium.


The result saw JDR and Eagles remain second, and 15th respectively on the log.


Lastly, Ajax Cape Town were thrashed 3-0 by Uthongathi FC in a match which took place at the Athlone Stadium.


The defeat saw Ajax slip down to seventh place on the table, while Uthongathi climbed up to the eighth spot.
