Banyana Banyana head into their 2020 CAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying second round, second-leg clash against Botswana hoping to avoid an upset.

South Africa qualified for the most recent Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil alongside fellow Southern African nation Zimbabwe. Their geographical rivals, though, boycotted their second-leg match against Zambia following a 5-0 loss in Lusaka last week.

Banyana Banyana were held to a 0-0 draw in their first-leg showdown against Botswana in Gaborone, and will be expected to get the job done at home in Soweto on Tuesday.

All five fixtures will take place on Tuesday afternoon at 17h00 CAT, GMT +2.

Elsewhere, Nigeria play host to Algeria in Lagos following a 2-0 win for the Super Falcons in Blida.

Kenya have already qualified for the third round following a 6-2 aggregate win over Malawi while Democratic Republic of Congo advanced due to Equatorial Guinea’s withdrawal.

Only one women’s team from the African continent will automatically qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
