Three 2019 CAF Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers were played on Friday.
Cameroon secured a 1-0 victory over Tunisia in a match which was played at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde.
At the Accra Sports Stadium, Ghana were held to a 1-1 stalemate by a stubborn Algeria in Accra.
While South Africa thumped a hapless Zimbabwe side 5-0 in a match which was played at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg.
The qualifiers will continue on Saturday as teams look to secure their places in the U23 AFCON finals.
Two matches are scheduled to be played on Saturday with Ivory Coast taking on Guinea.
Ivory Coast will play host to Guinea at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan.
Lastly, Morocco are set to take on Mali at the Grand Stade Marrakech in Marrakech.
The winners on aggregate will qualify for the U23 AFCON finals which will be hosted by Egypt.
