Zamalek head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic feels his side are on the right track after clinching his first major trophy with the club.
The Serbian tactician masterminded a 3-0 win over Pyramids FC in the 2019 Egypt Cup final on Sunday.
Winger Achraf Bencharki (brace) and forward Youssef Ibrahim hit the back of the net for Zamalek.
Micho, who recently joined the White Knights from South African giants Orlando Pirates, reflected on the team’s victory.
“I am very happy with this win,” Micho told television channel ON Sport.
“It was a difficult test against a tough opponent who produced a strong performance
“The win confirmed that we are on the right track after three weeks of work.”
The White Knights will now face their rivals Al Ahly in the Egyptian Super Cup on 20 September.
