The 2019/20 English Premier League (EPL) action will resume this weekend following the FIFA international break.


African stars will once again showcase their talent in one of the biggest football league in the world.


African Football takes a look at the five players to watch this weekend:


Jordan Ayew – Crystal Palace FC


The Ghanaian striker has established himself as Palace’s first-choice striker this season having netted two goals in the league.


Ayew, who netted against Manchester United last month, will be keen to add to his tally and help Palace overcome Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.


Mohamed Salah – Liverpool FC


The Egyptian winger will be oozing with confidence after being named Liverpool FC Player of the Month for August 2019.


Salah, who has netted three goals in the league this season, will be eager to inspire the Reds to victory over Newcastle United on Saturday.


Wilfred Ndidi – Leicester City FC


The Nigerian central midfielder is expected to shrug off the injury he picked up just before the FIFA international break.


Ndidi, who is a key midfielder for Leicester, will be looking to play an important role in helping the Foxes secure a win over Manchester United on Saturday.


Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Arsenal FC


The Gabonese striker will also be brimming with confidence after being named Arsenal Player of the Month for August 2019.


Aubameyang, who is one of the most feared strikers in the EPL, has netted three league goals this season and will be looking to continue his form against Watford on Sunday.


Joel Matip – Liverpool FC


The Cameroonian central defender has been impressive at the heart of the Liverpool’s defence this season.


Matip, who scored in Liverpool’s league win over Arsenal last month, will be hoping to produce a solid defensive display when the Reds take on Newcastle United.
