Limpopo rivals Black Leopards and Baroka FC will meet for a derby clash in the Absa Premiership at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday 15 September 2019, kick-off at 15h00.


Leopards come into the match having claimed their first league win of the season: Lidoda Duvha triumphed 1-0 away to Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday, August 28, courtesy of a goal from Lesedi Kapinga.


Baroka suffered their first loss of the season when they were beaten 2-0 at home by SuperSport United on Wednesday, August 28. Bakgaga have scored just one goal in their last three competitive outings and will be looking for an improved attacking display in this derby clash.


In head-to-head stats, Leopards and Baroka have met in two top-flight league matches since the 2018/19 season. Both of those encounters took place last term, with Lidoda Duvha claiming a league ‘double’ by winning 1-0 in Thohoyandou in October 2018 and 2-1 in Polokwane in the return game in January 2019.
