Africanfootball.com takes a look at the top performing African players from across Europe on Friday, 14 September.
Action resumed in Europe’s top leagues following the September international break and Nigeria international Victor Osimhen continued from where he left off for French Ligue 1 side Lille.
Osimhen scored his fifth goal in as many games for Lille; equalling a record held by former Italy international Mario Balotelli.
The 20-year-old scored for the Super Eagles in a 2-2 draw against Ukraine earlier this week and carried that energy into Friday’s 2-1 win over Angers.
Elsewhere in France, South Africa international Bongani Zungu was an unused substitute for Amiens in a 2-2 draw at home to Lyon.
In Turkey, Younes Belhanda, Mario Lemina, Sofiane Feghouli and Christian Luyindama were all in action for Turkish Super Lig holders Galatasaray in a 1-0 win over Kasimpasa.
Nigerian forward Paul Onuachu was also on target, finding the back of the net for Genk in a 2-1 loss away to Charleroi in the Belgium Pro League.
