Aubameyang and Niang continue rich scoring form in UEL

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and M’Baye Niang were both on the scoresheet in the 2019/20 UEFA Europa League on Thursday.

Gabon captain Aubameyang scored a goal for English giants Arsenal as they thrashed German side Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 at the Commerzbank-Arena in Group F clash.

Senegalese centre forward Niang’s goal helped French outfit Rennes hold Scottish champions Celtic to a 1-1 stalemate at the Roazhon Park in a Group E game.

At the Stade Maurice Dufrasne, DR Congolese striker Paul-Jose M’Poku netted for Belgian side Standard Liege as they defeated Portuguese outfit Guimaraes 2-0 in another Group FC encounter.

Tunisia vice-captain Wahbi Khazri grabbed a goal for French club Saint Etienne, who were defeated 3-2 by Belgian giants Gent at the Ghelamco Arena in a Group I match.

Cameroonian forward Jean Pierre Nsame scored a consolation goal for Swiss champions Young Boys as they lost 2-1 to Portuguese giants FC Porto at the Estádio do Dragão in a Group G clash.

At the Stadionul Dr. Constantin Rădulescu, Angolan defender Bastos also grabbed a consolation goal for Italian giants Lazio, who were defeated 2-1 by Romanian side CFR Cluj in another Group E game.
