Former Arsenal, Olympique Marseille and Paris St Germain striker Kaba Diawara has been named assistant coach for guinea, just days after Frenchman Didier Six was named as the new coach.

Diawara moves across from his previous role as team manager of Guinea’s national team.

Guinea’s football federation (Feguifoot) also announced other appointments around the national team on Friday.

Mandjou Diallo is appointed as second assistant coach after leaving Hafia Conakry.

Frenchman Eric Caballero returns as a fitness coach with Kemoko Camara, the former Syli Nationale goalkeeper, also keeping his pot as a goalkeeper coach.

Feguifoot named former Glasgow Celtic defender Dianbobo Baldé as coach of the national under-18 team. Balde was an assistant coach of the national team during the tenure of former coach Michel Dussuyer.

Souleymane ‘Abedi’ Camara was fired as coach of the under-23 team after their elimination from the Olympic Games qualifiers and replaced by the unknown Mory Fofana.
