Africanfootball.com takes a look at the top performing African players from across Europe on Friday, 20 September.

Morocco international Amine Harit continued his superb run of form, firing home an 89th minute winner for Schalke 04 in the German Bundesliga on Friday evening.

Harit weaved past one Mainz defender and then curled the ball with the outside of his boot past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net from the edge of the area, to secure a 2-1 win for the Royal Blues in Gelsenkirchen.

In England, Harit’s Atlas Lions teammate Sofiane Boufal played the full 90 minutes for Southampton in a 3-1 loss at home to Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Mali’s Moussa Djenepo missed the clash at St.Mary’s due to injury.

Khalifa Coulibaly continued his scoring streak, opening the scoring in Nantes visit at Strasbourg, but the hosts fought back to claim a 2-1 French Ligue 1 victory.

In Italy, Cristian Kouame scored what proved to be a consolation goal for Genoa in a 3-1 defeat away to Cagliari in the Serie A while Algeria’s Aissa Mandi played the full game for Real Betis in a goalless draw away to Osasuna in the Spanish LaLiga.

Gabon midfielder Andre Biyogo Poko saw red for Goztepe against Farouk Miya‘s Konyaspor, but despite going a man down in the 50th minute, the hosts would claim all three points for their first win of the Turkish Super Lig season.

Several Africans were also involved over in the Belgium Pro League where KV Mechelen claimed a 3-2 win away to KV Kortrijk.
