AfricanFootball.com takes a look at the Top 10 African performances from this past weekend in Europe.
It was another good weekend for several of Africa’s top players plying their trade on the European continent, with the best performance coming from Chad international Casimir Ninga in the French Ligue 1.
Here at the top 10 performers from this past weekend:
Casimir Ninga
The Chad international scored an 11-minute hat-trick fro Angers in a 4-1 win over Saint Etienne as the club moved back up to second place on the log standings.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
The Gabonese forward scored a late winner for 10-man Arsenal against Aston Villa at Emirates Stadium. The Gunners designated penalty taker, Aubameyang also decided to surrender his spot-kick duties over to Nicolas Pepe who duly netted his first goal for the North London club.
Dieumerci Mbokani
With six goals in the Belgium Pro League so far this season, the towering Democratic of Republic forward leads the scoring charts. Mbokani scored a goal and assisted another for Antwerp in a 3-1 win this past weekend.
Krepin Diatta
The Senegal international scored the winner for Club Brugge in a narrow 2-1 win over a struggling Anderlecht outfit. Brugge are yet to lose a Belgium Pro League game this season.
Amine Harit
The Morocco international scored a superb 89th minute winner for Schalke 04 in a 2-1 win in the German Bundesliga on Friday evening.
Ramon Azeez
The Nigerian forward found the back of the net for Granada in a memorable 2-0 win over defending Spanish LaLiga champions Barcelona.
Mame Baba Thiam
The Senegalese forward scored a brace for Kasimpasa in a 3-0 win as they registered their first victory of the Turkish Super Lig campaign.
Allan Nyom
The Cameroon left-back was amongst the scorers as Getafe trumped Mallorca 4-2 for their first win of the Spanish LaLiga season.
Riyad Mahrez
Algeria’s Africa Cup of Nations winning captain continued his good run of form, scoring one and setting up another as Manchester City recorded an incredible 8-0 win over Watford in the English Premier League.
Patrick Twumasi
The Ghanian forward scored what proved to be the winner for Gaziantep in the Turkish Super Lig. He has now scored three in the league this season.
