Black Leopards will go in search of a second straight win in the Absa Premiership when they host Mamelodi Sundowns at Thohoyandou Stadium on Wednesday 2 October 2019, kick-off at 19h30.

Leopards broke a two-game winless streak in the top flight when they overcame Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0 at home on Sunday, September 29. The match saw a first goal of the season from Lidoda Duvha’s ace striker, Mwape Musonda.

Sundowns were last in league action on Saturday, September 21: they claimed a 2-1 home win over Maritzburg United thanks to goals from Gaston Sirino and Lyle Lakay. The Brazilians are the only unbeaten team in the league this season.

The Limpopo side has recorded four wins, one draw and five defeats from their 10 home matches in the rivalry.

Last season Sundowns completed a league ‘double’ over Leopards, winning 3-0 at home at Loftus Stadium in February 2019 and 2-1 away at Thohoyandou Stadium in April 2019. The Brazilians have won sevent straight league games against Lidoda Duvha.
