Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns remain the only undefeated team in the Absa Premiership this season following a 2-1 win over Black Leopards on Wednesday evening.
The Brazilians moved up to third place on the log standings thanks to a Themba Zwane strike and Chris Katjiukua own goal. Last season’s golden boot winner, Mwape Musonda, pulled a goal back for the hosts in the second half, but the goal proved a mere consolation as Lidoda Duvha fell to another home defeat.
Stellenbosch FC claimed their first top-flight win with a 2-0 victory over Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Waseem Isaacs and Iqraam Rayners scored within the space of five first half minutes to lead the Cape club up to 14th place on the log standings and out of the relegation zone.
Elsewhere, Maritzburg United made it two wins in two games with a 1-0 home victory over a Baroka FC side who has now lost three in succession.
Mxolisi Kunene scored the only goal of the game as Maritzburg leapfrog Bakgaga.
