Nigeria call on forgotten man Ebuehi for Brazil friendly

Nigeria have recalled Benfica right-back Tyronne Ebuehi for their international friendly with Brazil in Singapore on October 13.

Dutch-born Ebuehi replaces the injured Kenneth Omeruo and could be set for his first cap since the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Ebuehi has himself had bad luck with injuries and spent nine months on the sidelines, which has severely hampered his progress.

The 23-year-old had, in fact, not kicked a ball in competitive action since the Super Eagles 2-0 victory over Iceland in Russia in June 2018.

He moved to Benfica from Dutch club ADO Den Haag after that, but has yet to play for the Portuguese giants.
