Zamalek president Mortada Mansour has dismissed reports indicating that Milutin Sredojevic will soon be fired by the club.

The Whites Knights have collected seven points from their opening three games in the Egyptian Premier League.

They were held to a disappointing draw by FC Masr in their most recent match over the weekend.

Mansour has now refuted the reports stating that the club is preparing to sack Micho, who hails from Serbia.

“Micho will not leave. He is staying until the end of the season and the same thing goes to his assistant coaches,” Mansour said on King Fut.

“However, new names could be added to the coaching staff.

“I have imposed heavy fines on a number of the players, but I don’t want to talk about them publicly,” he added.

“Micho is 100% better than René Weiler [Al Ahly’s manager]. Al Ahly didn’t play any difficult games until now, so he hasn’t been exposed yet,” he added.

Zamalek’ next game is against their fierce rivals Al Ahly on Saturday, October 19.
