Former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan says Alex Iwobi is better than his Everton teammate Richarlison.
Nigerian playmaker Iwobi has established himself as a key player for the English Premier League (EPL) side this season after joining the club from Arsenal FC.
While Brazilian attacker Richarlison has been inconsistent with the team having recorded its fourth successive league defeat against Burnley last weekend.
”He was the most effective Everton player against Burnley at the weekend,” Whelan told Football Insider.
”He’s got the pace and ability to beat players and create chances, and that’s something they’re lacking at the moment.
”Richarlison looks like he has lost confidence and belief in himself, and Iwobi is a bigger threat,” he added
”He’s a brilliant talent, he just needs to find more consistency and better decision-making. The raw skill and ability is there.
”If he starts to realise his potential, he can keep (Marco) Silva in his job.”
Richarlison and Iwobi could face each other when Brazil take on Nigeria in a friendly match at the National Stadium in Singapore.
