Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the only goal as Gabon defeated Burkina Faso 1-0 in an international friendly in Toulouse on Thursday.
Aubameyang has a difficult relationship with Gabon football association but is now back in the side after a self-imposed exile.
The match appeared to be heading for a draw before Gabon were handed an 84th minute penalty that Arsenal star Aubameyang converted.
Coach Patrice Neveu will be pleased with the run-out for his side as they look ahead the start of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month, where they face DR Congo, Angola and the winner of the preliminary tie between Djibouti and Gambia that is currently locked at 1-1.
