Tunisia international Amor Layouni has explained why he moved to Egyptian side Pyramids FC.

The 26-year-old winger joined Pyramids from Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt ahead of the current season.

Layouni inked a three-year contract with the ambitious side and he has since compared Egyptian and Tunisian football.

“Egyptian and Tunisian football are very similar,” Layouni told Tunisian reporters.

“I’m currently 27 years old and throughout my career, I played in Europe.

The well-travelled player also revealed he is keen to win the CAF Champions League title with Pryramins.

“But a good opportunity to play in Egypt showed up and I decided to take it,” the attacking midfielder added.

“I want to win titles and play in the CAF Champions League.”

Pyramids are currently competing in the CAF Confederation Cup.
