Paris St Germain have been dealt a blow with the new that star midfielder Idrissa Gueye will be missing for at least 10 days with a hamstring injury following international duty with Senegal.
Gueye has been a sensation for the Ligue 1 giants this season since arriving from Everton, and his absence follows that of Brazilian forward Neymar, who was injured in his country’s 1-1 draw with Nigeria in Singapore last week.
He also has a hamstring problem, but his appears more serious with an expected absence of four weeks.
Defensive midfielder Gueye’s value to PSG is illustrated in his statistics – they have won seven out the seven games he has played this season without conceding a goal.
In the four matches he has missed, they have two wins and two defeats with five goals conceded.
Gueye will sit out Friday’s trip to Nice, the UEFA Champions League trip to Club Brugge next week and potentially also the home Ligue 1 clash with Marseille on October 27.
