The 2019 Telkom Knockout Cup is set to take centre stage this weekend with eight Round of 16 matches taking place.

The action will be headlined by an encounter between Cape Town Coty and Kaizer Chiefs at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.

City will be seeking revenge as they lost 2-1 to Chiefs in an Absa Premiership clash earlier this season.

The first match of the weekend will be between Maritzburg United and Bidvest Wits at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday.

Wits are hoping to go all the way and clinch the South African league cup for the second time since 2017.

While 2011 winners Orlando Pirates will welcome tournament debutants Stellenbosch FC at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

The defending champions Baroka FC will be away to SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on the same day.

At the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium, Lamontville Golden Arrows will square off with Polokwane City.

One match is scheduled to be played on Sunday with the reigning Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns hosting AmaZulu FC at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
