Ghana head coach Kwesi Appiah has disclosed that five Holland-born players are open to playing for the Black Stars.

The 59-year-old tactician trainer has been touring Europe as he monitors Ghanaian players plying their trade in the continent.

However, Appiah refused to reveal the names of the Dutch players when speaking on Modern Ghana.

”I have been visiting the players. I have been to Holland and Belgium. I have spotted about four to five players,” Appiah said.

“I have seen them play a lot of times but I needed to see them and talk to them in person.

The retired defender revealed talks with the players have gone well thus far.

”Because some of them are willing to play for Ghana and others do not want to so you will have to see them and talk to them,” he added.

”Out of the five I have spoken to from Holland they are all willing to play for the Black Stars.

“But there are some of them who have played for the junior national teams of Holland so we will have to do a nationality switch for them.”

Ghana are set to start their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign against on South Africa on November 11.
