Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is set to undergo a late fitness test before the club’s Premier League fixture away to Manchester United this weekend.
A struggling Red Devils side play host to the league leaders at Old Trafford on Sunday with the visitors currently eight points clear atop the league standings; a remarkable 15 points better off than their long term rivals at this early stage of the season.
The Reds, though, might be without Salah for the trip and with Joel Matip also a doubt, and Alisson still out with a long term injury, Jurgen Klopp has a few headaches in build up to this weekend’s clash.
Salah picked up an ankle injury in Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Leicester City before the international break, while former Cameroon international Matip – who signed a new contract on Friday – missed the game against the Foxes at Anfield and last played in the club’s 1-0 win at Sheffield United last month.
Egyptian winger, Salah, has scored six goals in 12 appearances this season, but hasn’t found the back of the net in the league since mid September.
The 27-year-old has yet to register a goal or assist against United in four matches.
