AfricanFootball.com takes a look at the star performers from Saturday night’s action across Europe, from an African perspective.

Alex Iwobi was the standout player for Everton as they ended their winless streak with a 2-0 victory over West Ham United in the Premier League.

The Nigeria international troubled the Hammers throughout as the hosts secured a much needed win at Goodison Park.

Ivory Coast born Lago Junior, though, stole the headlines with his seventh minute goal leading Mallorca to a famous 1-0 win over Real Madrid in the Spanish LaLiga.

Fellow countryman Giovanni Sio was also on target, netting brace for Genclerbirligi in a 6-0 thumping of Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Max Gradel also got his name on the scoresheet in a 2-1 win for Toulouse over Lille in the French Ligue 1 while Senegal midfielder Habibou Mouhamadou Diallo bagged the winner for Metz over Nantes.

Nigeria linked Eberechi Eze was at the double from the penalty spot for QPR in a 3-2 English Championship win over Hull City while Andre Ayew continued his scoring form; finding the back of the net for Swansea City in 1-1 draw away to Barnsley.
