17:55 – We conclude our ASW with news of the final scores from the afternoon Premier League matches: Alex Iwobi and Everton conceded a last-gasp goal to lose 3-2 away to Brighton, West Ham United were held 1-1 by Sheffield United and Watford v Bournemouth ended 0-0.


17:40 – Alex Iwobi’s Everton are now drawing 2-2 away to Brighton, having taken the lead through Dominic Calvert-Lewin before being pegged back by a Neal Maupay penalty.


17:35 – Five minutes into a French Ligue 1 match which sees Victor Osimhen leading the line for Lille at home to Bordeaux. The likes of Reinildo, Mexer and Francois Kamano also feature.


17:25 – Done and dusted in the afternoon games in Germany, where the big result was a 0-0 draw between Schalke and Dortmund in the Ruhr derby. Here are the other final scores: Bayern 2-1 Union, Hertha 2-3 Hoffenheim, Freiburg 2-1 Leipzig, Paderborn 2-0 Dusseldorf.


17:10 – Salomon Kalou has come off the bench and scored for Hertha, but they trail 3-2 at home to Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.


17:00 – Done and dusted in Italy’s early game, where Khouma Babacar’s Lecce held Juventus to 1-1 draw. In Germany it’s still 0-0 between Salif Sane’s Schalke and Achraf Hakimi’s Dortmund in the big derby.


17:55 – Half time in England, where Alex Iwobi’s Everton are drawing 1-1 at Brighton. Watford v Bournemouth is 0-0, while West Ham lead Sheffield 1-0.


16:50 – Junior Lago’s Mallorca are 1-0 down away to Leganes at half time of the early La Liga match.


16:35 – Khouma Babacar’s Lecce are holding Juventus 1-1 in the early Serie A match, which has around 20 minutes left to play.


16:30 – Alex Iwobi’s Everton are drawing 1-1 away to Brighton, with Pascal Gross’ early goal for the hosts cancelled out by Richarlison.


16:20 – Half time in the afternoon Bundesliga matches, where Ihlas Bebou’s Hoffenheim have gone 2-0 up away to Hertha Berlin. Bayern lead Union 1-0, Abdelhamid Sabiri has scored to put Paderborn 1-0 up against Dusseldorf and the other matches are locked at 0-0.


16:05 – Underway in the Premier League matches, while the only goal in Germany so far sees Bayern 1-0 up against Anthony Ujah’s Union Berlin.


15:50 – Another match getting underway at 16:00 is the La Liga clash between Leganes and Mallorca. Chidozie Awaziem is on the bench for the former, while Iddrisu Mohammed and Junior Lago start for the latter.


15:45 – Kicking off at the top of the hour we have three Premier League matches, with Alex Iwobi starting for Everton away to Brighton & Hove Albion; Isaac Success missed out for Watford at home to Bournemouth due to injury; and Arthur Masuaku is also absent for West Ham at home to Sheffield United.


15:40 – Khouma Babacar features up front for Lecce at home to Juventus in Serie A’s early clash. It’s still 0-0 with half time approaching.


15:35 – We’re now five minutes into a set of five Bundesliga matches. Anthony Ujah is on the bench for Union Berlin away to Bayern Munich; ditto Salomon Kalou and Ihlas Bebou for Hertha Berlin v Hoffenheim; Amarou Haidara starts for Leipzig away to Freiburg; the big derby between Schalke and Borussia Dortmund sees starts for Salif Sane, Amine Harit and Achraf Hakimi; and Jamilu Collins, Mohamed Drager and Abdelamid Sabiri start for Paderborn at home to Dusseldorf, who feature Ghanaians Kasim Nuhu and Bernard Tekpetey.


15:30 – We begin our African Stars Watch with news from the Premier League, where the early Premier League match saw Marvelous Nakamba and Mohamed Trezeguet feature for Aston Villa in a 3-0 loss away to Manchester City.
