The headline result in the Bundesliga was a 0-0 draw in the Ruhr derby between Schalke and Borussia Dortmund, a match which featured Africans Salif Sane, Amine Harit and Achraf Hakimi, while Salomon Kalou netted in Hertha Berlin’s 3-2 loss to Hoffenheim and Abdelhamid Sabiri scored the opening goal in Paderborn’s 2-0 win over Dusseldorf.
In Spain, Benin’s Salisu Mohammed scored a key goal for Real Valladolid as they defeated Eibar 2-0 to bring themselves closer to the European berths, while the major result in Ligue 1 was Lille’s 3-0 win over a Bordeaux team featuring Francois Kamano, Samuel Kalu and Josh Maja.
