English giants Liverpool FC will have to assess Guinea international Naby Keita.
The 24-year-old player picked up an injury that prompted his withdrawal in the Reds’ Carabao Cup tie against Arsenal on Wednesday.
The midfielder was replaced by Curtis Jones 55 minutes into a game that ended 5-5 at the Anfield Stadium.
Liverpool then progressed to the quarter-finals after winning the penalty shootout.
Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, discussed the highly-rated midfielder’s injury.
“If Naby’s injury is not so serious, which I hope, then it was a nearly perfect night,” Klopp said.
“He felt a little bit. I saw it, he slipped when he lost the ball. He slipped away, I saw him limping afterwards and that’s why we did it.”
Keita has made only four appearances across all competitions for Liverpool this season.
