Zambia coach Aggrey Chiyangi has named his squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this month, and has included Kaizer Chiefs forward Lazarous Kambole.
Kambole has yet to score for Chiefs since making the move from Zesco United, but will get the chance to change his fortunes in a national team jersey.
Chiyangi is without some of his stars, such as Patson Daka, who have instead been selected for the side that will compete at the Africa Under-23 Cup of Nations in Egypt from November 8-22.
Chiyangi has recalled the 2012 Nations Cup-winning duo of Nathan Sinkala and Stophila Sunzu, who are on the books of TP Mazembe and French Ligue 1 side FC Metz respectively.
The Chipolopolo trainer has also summoned Russia-based Evans Kangwa, who stars for Arsenal Tula, to add firepower upfront in the absence of the Under-23 players that have been assigned to coach Beston Chambeshi’s team.
Chiyangi has summoned 13 foreign based players for the November 14 away match in Algeria and the November 19 home tie against Zimbabwe.
