Nigerian star Wilfred Ndidi once again put in a solid display in midfield as his Leicester City team went back into third place on the Premier League log with a 2-0 win away to Crystal Palace.

The Foxes overcame an Eagles side featuring Jordan Ayew, Jeffrey Schlupp, Cheikhou Kouyate and Wilfried Zaha courtesy of goals from Caglar Soyuncu and Jamie Vardy in the early Premier League clash.

The later kick-off saw Alex Iwobi feature for 90 minutes as Everton fought back from a goal down to hold Serge Aurier’s Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 at Goodison Park.

In France’s Ligue 1, Guinean Francois Kamano opened the scoring in Bordeaux’s 2-0 win over Nantes, while Racine Coly, Ignatius Ganago and Youcef Atal all featured for Nice in a 2-0 win over 10-man Reims (who had Moussa Doumbia sent off).

In Serie A, William Troost-Ekong and Nicholas Opoku helped Udinese record a 3-1 win away to Christian Kouame’s Genoa; Jeremie Boga and Hamed Traore featured in Sassoulo’s 2-2 draw away to Lecce; Sofyan Amrabat’s Verona beat Brescia 2-1; and Gervinho netted in the 40th minute of Parma’s 1-1 draw away to Fiorentina.

Mohammed Salisu helped Real Valladolid win 3-0 at home to Mallorca in La Liga; Karl Toko Ekambi couldn’t continue his scoring form in Villarreal’s 0-0 draw at home to Athletic Bilbao; and Mubarak Wakaso’s Deportivo Alaves were in the end of a 4-2 loss away to Osasuna.

In the Bundesliga, Moroccan Amine Harit scored the decisive goal in Schalke’s 3-2 win away to Augsburg.
