Ivory Coast coach Ibrahim Kamara has continued to keep a number of his stalwart players on the sidelines after selecting his squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger and Ethiopia this month.
Striker Gervinho has been in good form for Parma in the Italian Serie A this season but has still not got the nod from Kamara, who has also left midfielder Jean Michael Seri and striker Jonathan Kodjia on the sidelines.
The likes of Serge Aurier (Tottenham Hotspur), Franck Kessie (AC Milan), Zaha Wilfried (Crystal Palace) and Nicolas Pepe (Arsenal) did make the cut, however.
The Ivorians face Niger on November 16, before an away meeting with Ethiopia three days later.
