Idrissi and Doumbia grab the limelight in UEL

Oussama Idrissi and Anthony Nwakaeme both scored in the 2019/20 UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.

Moroccan forward Idrissi helped his Dutch club AZ Alkmaar thump a hapless Kazastanian side Astana at the Astana Arena.

Idrissi scored Alkmaar’s third goal as Alkmaar recorded an impressive 5-0 victory over the hosts.

His countryman, Bono was in action for Spanish outfit Sevilla as they secured a victory over Dudelange of Luxembourg at the Stade Josy Barthel.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper conceded twice, but his side scored five times to register a 5-2 victory over Dudelange.

While Nigerian striker Nwakaeme was also on the score sheet for his Turkish club Trabzonspor at the Krasnodar Stadium.

Nwakaeme’s late goal was a mere consolation as Russan outfit Krasnodar ran out 3-1 winners at home.

Lastly, Ivorian midfielder Idrissa Doumbia helped his Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon record a victory at the Lerkendal Stadion.

The 21-year-old player grabbed an assist as Sporting brushed aside Norwegian giants Rosenborg 2-0 on the night.
