Equatorial Guinea have appointed Frenchman Sebastien Migne to lead the side following the resignation of Spaniard Angel Lopez in September.
Migne’s late appointment gives him barely any time to prepare the side for their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in the coming 10 days as they travel to Tanzania on Friday and then host Tunisia four days later.
Migne has reportedly signed a six-year contract with the team, and comes after he left Kenya having taken the East African side to the Nations Cup finals in Egypt this year.
“I do not promise results but hard work. I can’t say that I already know all the players of the national team,” said Migne. “I have been fortunate to follow the friendly that Nzalang had with Togo in France and I can say that I have a good team.
“My plan is to meet with all the coaches in the country to convey my work philosophy. It is the way we can do a team work.”
Libya are Equatorial Guinea’s other opponents in their qualification pool.
